Tattoo removal at home

There are many ways by which tattoos can be removed at home. Tattoo removal should be done at home only when the tattoo is a simple uni-coloured design. But, the biggest disadvantage of removing tattoo at home is that there is high chance of developing infection or leaving a permanent scar in the area. Again, tattoos that are very colourful and complicated are not a good option to be removed at home.

Here are some of the ways of tattoo removal at home:

Tattoo fading with salt - This is a way where saline solution is applied over the unwanted tattoo. This procedure is good for tattoos that are old and have weathered away with time. This is also a very good way to get a new tattoo over an old one.

Tattoo removal cream - This is the most popular method of removing tattoo at home. The tattoo removing creams are highly popular because they are least damaging of all tattoo removing methods. It is a very good option if you are scared of getting a surgery done.

The tattoo removal cream lightens the ink on the skin and makes the tattoo fade away. The biggest disadvantage of these tattoo removal creams is that they take time to show results and may not work on certain skin types.

Dermabrasion - This process involves scrubbing of the skin using sandpaper or pumice stone to remove the tattoo inked on the top layers of the skin. It is very important to use an anti-bacterial powder to avoid infection on the area.

In this process, you need to wash the tattoo with soap and then begin to scrub or sand the area till it starts bleeding. Wrap it with a bandage and let the scab form and fall. You need to repeat this process until the tattoo fades.

Always remember, a tattoo is a permanent affair on your body. Removing it will also include a lot of difficulty and pain. So, it is better to think twice before you go for the commitment for a lifetime.
